Getting started

How do I register?

Click "Get started free" on any page and create your account. You'll choose your role (client or contractor) during registration. Clients configure requirements and review contractors; contractors submit documents and receive qualification grades.

Do I need a credit card to sign up?

No. The Free plan requires no payment information. You can upgrade to Professional at any time from your account settings.

I was invited by a client — how do I connect?

Open the invite link your client sent you. You'll be taken to the registration page (or login if you already have an account) with the invitation pre-loaded. After registering, the relationship activates automatically.

What is the difference between a client and a contractor account?

Client accounts configure requirements, invite or accept contractors, review AI-scored submissions, and make final qualification decisions. Contractor accounts receive a checklist, upload documents, and earn a qualification grade. Both sides use the same platform.

Contractors & qualification

What documents do I need to submit?

Your checklist is tailored to your declared work activities and your client's requirements. At minimum you'll need current insurance certificates (CGL and Workers' Compensation) and EMR documentation. Depending on your activities, you may also need safety questionnaire answers, injury statistics, and written safety program PDFs.

How does the bulk Safety Manual upload work?

Upload your company Safety Manual as a single PDF. AIGIS automatically evaluates it against each of your required EHS written programs — one file can satisfy all written program slots. You can still upload individual program documents to override the manual for specific programs.

How long does qualification take?

A prepared contractor with documents ready can complete qualification in under 30 minutes. AI evaluation happens in seconds after each upload — no waiting for a human reviewer.

Can I qualify for multiple clients?

Yes. Once your documents are submitted, connecting to additional clients doesn't require re-uploading. Each client sees the same qualification record. Client-specific requirements (if any) are appended to your checklist.

What does each qualification grade mean?

Approved (80–100): all requirements met. Conditionally Approved (60–79): client has accepted with noted conditions. Needs Improvement (40–59): one or more pillars below threshold. Not Approved (0–39): significant deficiencies requiring resubmission.

Clients & requirements

How do I invite a contractor?

From your dashboard or the contractor directory, generate a unique invite link and send it to your contractor. They register (or log in) and the relationship activates automatically. You can also accept connection requests that contractors send to you.

Can I set my own insurance coverage thresholds?

Yes. For CGL and Workers' Compensation requirements, you can configure a minimum coverage amount — $500K, $1M, $2M, $5M, or a custom value. The AI evaluation rubric adjusts to score against your specific threshold.

Can I add requirements beyond the platform defaults?

Yes, on the Professional plan. Use the Requirements page to create custom requirements with a title, description, evidence type, and optional coverage threshold. They appear on all linked contractor checklists.

Can I exempt a contractor from a specific requirement?

Yes. On a contractor's detail page, you can exempt individual requirements. Exempted requirements are excluded from scoring and the contractor receives full credit for that item. Exemptions can be reversed at any time.

What is a conditional approval?

A conditional approval lets you accept a contractor at their current score while documenting what they need to address. You write guidance notes (and an optional expiry date), the contractor sees your notes and can upload an improvement plan in response.

AI evaluation

How does the AI evaluate documents?

AIGIS uses Claude (Anthropic's AI) to read submitted documents against requirement-specific schemas. For insurance certificates it extracts coverage amounts and expiry dates. For EHS written programs it checks for 7–9 program-specific required elements. Each evaluation returns a 0–100 score and plain-English feedback.

What counts as an AI evaluation toward my monthly limit?

Each document review, questionnaire submission, or injury statistics submission that triggers the AI counts as one evaluation. Re-uploading an identical file (same content) never triggers a new evaluation — the cached result is returned instantly.

Can I re-upload a document to improve my score?

Yes. Upload a corrected or updated document at any time. The AI re-evaluates and your score updates immediately. If the file content is identical to a previous upload, the cached score is returned without using an evaluation.

What if the AI evaluation seems wrong?

Clients can override any AI verdict — accept, flag, or conditionally approve regardless of the AI score. Clients are always the final decision-makers. If you believe an evaluation is consistently incorrect, contact us at the address below.

Billing & account

How does AIGIS pricing work?

AIGIS uses event-based pricing — you pay per qualification, not per seat or per month. A free profile (account + directory listing) costs nothing. Each contractor–client qualification event is $39.99 and covers all AI evaluations, the scored qualification record, expiry tracking, and client review tools. Volume bundles are available for clients who qualify many contractors.

What is a qualification event?

A qualification event is one contractor being fully evaluated for one client. It covers every document upload and AI evaluation for that relationship — insurance, EMR, safety questionnaire, injury statistics, and written safety programs. You pay once and receive a complete, graded qualification record that is valid until the underlying documents expire.

Who pays — the client or the contractor?

By default, the client pays. When initiating a connection with a contractor, you will see a clear prompt: pay yourself, request the contractor pays, or have the contractor cover it directly. No charge is made until you confirm. Either party can pay — the choice is always transparent and made at connection time.

What are volume bundles?

Pre-purchased qualification credits at a reduced per-event rate. A 5-pack is $179.95 ($35.99 each, 10% off). A 100-pack is $2,799 ($27.99 each, 30% off). Credits never expire and can be used for any contractor–client connection. Either party can apply a credit.

What is the $9.99 Self-Assessment for contractors?

An optional one-time purchase for contractors. For $9.99, a contractor receives an AI evaluation against AIGIS platform standard criteria — without needing a client to initiate. This earns an "AIGIS Verified" badge in the contractor directory, making them visible and credible to clients before any contact is made.

When does billing go live?

AIGIS is currently in early access. Billing is not yet active — you can use the full platform at no charge during this period. Pricing will activate at general availability. Early access users will receive advance notice before any charges begin.
